Things to work on at home...
In mid-October in kindergarten, most children should be able to...
  • Identify at least 15 letters when presented in random order
  • Write their first name without looking at a model
  • Tell when 2 words rhyme and when they don't
  • Hear a few dominant consonant sounds (at least 5)
  • Count orally to 15
  • Count a set of 10 or fewer objects and select the corresponding numeral
  • Write the numbers 1-5
